Twisted (Tangled #2) by Emma Chase
There are two kinds of people in the world. The ones who look first, and the ones who leap. I’ve always been more of a looker. Cautious. A planner. That changed after I met Drew Evans. He was so persistent. So sure of himself – and of me.
But not all love stories end happily ever after. Did you think Drew and I were going to ride off into the sunset? Join the club. Now I have to make a choice, the most important of my life. Drew already made his –in fact, he tried to decide for the both of us. But you know that’s just not my style. So I came back to Greenville. Alone. Well, sort of alone....
What I've come to realize is that old habits die hard and sometimes you have to go back to where you began, before you can move ahead.
TWISTED picks up two years after Tangled’s end, and is told from Kate’s POV.
4 out of 5 stars
Twisted is an emotional roller coaster full of humor, love, and angst - I couldn't put it down! I was completely invested and on the edge of my seat. This book has a totally different feel from Tangled and is completely different story.
Drew and Kate are back and this time from Kate's POV. It started off super hot! Kate and Drew are meant to be together but their relationship is tested (hello HUGE misunderstanding). As everything unfolds, my emotions were all over the place. I was happy, frustrated, and completely immersed in all of it. I loved that their was humor interlaced in heartbreaking moments. That's hard to do but the author does a heck of a job.
Kate's humor is different than Drew but still had me laughing. I enjoyed getting to know her more. She was stubborn and strong and while I didn't like all of her choices I loved her determination. I love Drew but at around 30% I wanted to strangle him. At one point, I wanted to strangle them both actually. Even though Drew can be stubborn and has some pretty big screw-ups under his belt, his love is unconditional and knows no bounds. He is one of my all time favorite book boyfriends.
That being said, I was anxiety ridden through the majority of the story because I was so caught up in everything. There was just so much angst (almost to much!) but Kate’s bits of humor helped to balance it out. This book was fast paced for the most part but there was a section in the middle that slowed for me. That didn’t stop me from reading though because I was completely invested.
I have a whole new appreciation for Billy Warren. It would be awesome if he got his own story. He is just a sweet, loving, supportive guy.
This is definitely Kate's story and I was missing Drew a lot. This book definitely pulls at your heart strings but there are still a few hot times involved. I loved the epilogue!!! I love them together and am thrilled with the conclusion!

By day, Emma Chase is a devoted wife and mother of two who resides in a small, rural town in New Jersey. By night she is a keyboard crusader, toiling away the hours to bring her colorful characters and their endless antics to life. She has a long standing love/hate relationship with caffeine.
Emma is an avid reader. Before her children were born she was known to consume whole books in a single day. Writing has also always been a passion and with the 2013 release of her debut romantic comedy, Tangled, the ability to now call herself an author is nothing less than a dream come true.
